Kidi Calendar Support
Need help with Kidi Calendar? We're here to help.
How do I add something to the calendar?
In the grown-up view, tap Add something. Pick the activity, the day, and the part of the day. You can also type a name that is not already in the list.
To use your voice instead, tap the microphone, speak the plan, then review the suggestions before they are saved. Typing and tapping still work if voice entry is off.
How do I switch between Parent and Child Mode?
In the grown-up view, tap See [name]'s view to open the child's view.
In the child's view, tap Grown-ups. If a grown-up code is saved, enter it. If not, answer the short addition question. That returns to the grown-up view.
How do I add another child?
In the grown-up view, tap the character button at the top, then Add another child.
One child is included without a subscription. Adding another child requires Kidi Calendar Family.
How do I restore my subscription?
In the grown-up view, open Settings, then Family Pro, then See Family Pro. Tap Restore purchases. Use the same Apple Account that bought Kidi Calendar Family.
The purchase screen also has Restore purchases. Restoring checks Apple for an active subscription. It does not charge you again.
Why isn't voice entry working?
Voice entry needs all of the following:
- Microphone permission for Kidi Calendar
- Speech recognition permission for Kidi Calendar
- On-device speech recognition on this iPhone
If permission was denied, the voice screen offers Open Settings. You can also turn the permissions on in the iPhone Settings app, under Kidi Calendar.
If this iPhone cannot recognize speech on the device, voice entry stays unavailable. Add something still works.
Why isn't the widget updating?
Add the Kidi Calendar Today widget from the Home Screen widget gallery. Then open the app once so it can write today's plan.
In the grown-up view, open Settings → Home Screen. Leave Show today's plan on the widget on. The Lock Screen uses a separate switch, Show the plan on the Lock Screen.
The widget shows up to three of today's activities, not the whole week. iPhone decides when a widget redraws. If it still looks old, open Kidi Calendar, then remove the widget and add it again.
How do I enable notifications?
During setup, tap Turn on reminders, or skip them and turn them on later. In the grown-up view, open Settings → Reminders.
- Ask if tomorrow is different is a general reminder. It does not list the schedule.
- Countdown morning reminder fires the morning before a countdown day.
- Include the event name puts that name in the countdown reminder. Leave it off for a general reminder.
If iPhone already said no, open Settings → Notifications → Kidi Calendar and allow notifications. These reminders are created on the device.
How does iCloud sync work?
Sync is off until you turn it on. In the grown-up view, open Settings → iCloud → Keep this schedule in iCloud. The iPhone needs to be signed in to iCloud.
The schedule, including optional photos, is then kept in your iCloud account and can update your other devices. If iCloud cannot be reached, the calendar still works on this device and syncs when it can.
To invite another grown-up, open Settings → Share with another grown-up, then Invite another device with iCloud. Inviting someone who can edit the plan requires Kidi Calendar Family.
How do I delete my family's data?
The steps, and what they remove, are on the privacy choices page.
