MoveTime: Kids Screen Time

MoveTime is a parent-setup app from Web Canaries LLC. A parent chooses which apps a child must earn, and the child earns time in those apps by doing a short physical activity.

MoveTime uses the camera only while an activity is in progress, and only to count body movement.

Video is not recorded. Frames are not saved to Photos, written to disk, or uploaded. Each frame is discarded after the movement check. MoveTime does not use face recognition and does not store body images or joint coordinates.

MoveTime saves the exercise type, the number of repetitions, the time it was completed, the minutes earned, the rules you set, and a salted hash of the parent PIN. Screen Time tokens provided by Apple stay on the device. None of this is sent to MoveTime.

Purchases are handled by Apple. MoveTime does not receive your payment card number.

A parent sets up the device and chooses a PIN. The child uses the activity screen. MoveTime does not ask for a child's name, and it does not include ads or third-party analytics.
